Summary

Second thread of the sweep: the named network and its overlaps. Snapshot note: the PSAJ page recorded Nippon Kaigi at ~38,000 members, 47 prefectural headquarters and 242 municipal branches, and recorded 18 of 20 ministers in the October 2015 Abe reshuffle as members of the Nippon Kaigi and/or Shinto League caucuses.

Findings

  • documented Shindō Yoshitaka has held: MIC minister (2012–14), J-NSC founder and lifelong secretary-general, LDP press bureau chief (2010), IC Strategy Research Commission vice-chair (2019), constitutional-revision HQ deputy head, Nippon Kaigi caucus vice-chair.2
  • documented The LDP commission drafting broadcast law is chaired by Noda Seiko (MIC minister 2017–18) with its Broadcast Act subcommittee chaired by Ishida Masatoshi (MIC minister 2018–19).3
  • documented The 2014–2015 chain: PM complaint (18 Nov 2014) → LDP document to stations (20 Nov) → PM aide demands reinterpretation at the ministry (26 Nov) → ministerial Diet answer enabling single-programme findings (12 May 2015).4
