Summary

The inbox is the wiki's append-only frontier. News items, market observations, and current-events sources enter here first — never directly into synthesis holders — and are later consumed by brainstorm runs.

Requirements

  1. One event per concept. Filename: YYYY-MM-DD-<short-slug>.md (event or retrieval date).
  2. Mandatory metadata (frontmatter and/or body table):
  3. published: when the source published
  4. retrieved: when we fetched it
  5. as_of: the market-time the content describes
  6. canonical URL
  7. snapshot note: direct quote or content hash, so a silently revised page cannot masquerade as the version we reasoned from
  8. stale_after is required in frontmatter. Stale items flip to status: deprecated — never deleted, never edited in place (append-only).
  9. sources[] carries the external reference (URL, title, author, last_modified if known); credibility signals per OKF v0.2 §5.1 are recorded when available.

Body Shape

  • # Summary — what happened / what was observed, in 2–4 sentences
  • # Market Read — 1–2 paragraphs on options-relevant implications (IV reaction, flows, calendar effects)
  • # Brainstorm Hooks — bullet list of candidate regime/structure links (e.g., "term structure flipped to backwardation → see regime definition")

Provenance Rules

  • Never overwrite a published inbox concept; append a dated # Amendment section instead.
  • An inbox concept is evidence for ideation only — it confers no stable status on any synthesis concept that cites it.
