Summary

The inbox is the bundle's append-only frontier. Findings enter here first — never directly into a synthesis holder — and are later distilled into concepts.

Requirements

  1. One finding per concept. Filename YYYY-MM-DD-<short-slug>.md (event or retrieval date).
  2. Mandatory metadata in frontmatter: published, retrieved, as_of, canonical URLs, and a snapshot note (quote or hash) so a silently revised page cannot masquerade as the version reasoned from.
  3. stale_after is required. Stale items flip to status: deprecated — never deleted, never edited in place.
  4. sources[] carries the external references, with the interest named for any partisan or state source.

Body shape

  • # Summary — what was found, in 2–4 sentences
  • # Findings — the labelled findings (documented / inferred / contested)
  • # Distillation Hooks — which holders this should feed, as explicit links

Provenance rules

  • Never overwrite a published inbox concept; append a dated # Amendment section.
  • An inbox concept is evidence for distillation only — it confers no stable status on any synthesis concept that cites it.
